In specific instances, Google Workspace for Education super administrators might be asked to verify their identity. If your super admin fails to verify their identity in time, your institution might be suspended from Google Workspace for Education services.

Why we might ask you to verify:
- We need to confirm your information is correct.
- We identify unusual activity.
- We require information to comply with regulations.
- We need additional information to protect against fraud and abuse.
Important: For users in South Korea, due diligence might be required by law.
Information you might be asked to provide
To complete verification, you might be asked to provide:
- Name
- Address
- Date of birth
- A government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport
- A document that shows your current address

How we use your information
Google uses the information you provide to:
- Verify your identity.
- Protect against fraud and abuse.
- Improve our verification services for Google products and protect against fraud and abuse.
When applicable, the information you submit is treated in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Payments Privacy Notice.
How to verify your identity
You'll receive an email and an alert in the Alert Center if you are required to verify your identity.
- Follow the instructions in the email. You will be taken to a page in the Admin console where you will be asked to upload an image of your government-issued photo ID along with other information.
Note: You must be logged in as a super administrator to access the identity verification page.
- In most cases, your identity will be verified within a few minutes. Otherwise, you might be asked over email for additional information.
If we can't verify your identity
Sometimes we're unable to verify your identity from the documents you provide. We'll let you know if this happens and invite you to resubmit.
To prevent abuse, we only allow a limited number of verification attempts.
Tips on submitting your documents
- Use the same full name in all the documents.
- Submit documents that are current and not expired.
- Capture the entire document, including all four corners.
- Your image must be readable, in focus, and free of reflection and glare.
- Incomplete or obstructed documents or dark or blurry photos won’t be accepted.
- Uploading documents or photos other than what is requested might result in account suspension.
- If your document is two sided, capture the front and the back and upload both images.
- To prevent abuse, we allow only a limited number of verification attempts.
