Supervised payment profiles are for kids under 13 (or the applicable age in your country) who have a supervised Google Account managed by their parent through Family Link. When payment-related information is saved to a child’s Google Account, a payments profile is created.
A Google payments profile stores info such as:
- The name and address of the user that the payments profile belongs to.
- Credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods which have been used to buy through Google in the past.
- Other addresses which have been added across Google services, like autofill on Chrome.
Payments profile settings
Your child’s payments profile contains the following settings:
- Payments profile ID: The payments profile ID is the unique number used to identify the payments profile which can be used if reaching out to support.
- Country or region: The legal country or region associated with the current payments profile.
- Name: The legal name associated with the payments profile. Learn how to change your child’s payments profile legal name.
- Address: The legal address of your child's home. Learn how to change your child's payments profile legal address.
- Document language preference: The language your child prefers for documentation.
Manage a payments profile
Your child can manage some tasks in their payments profile, but may need your help for other tasks. If they need your help, they'll be notified in their profile.
The following tasks can be completed in a payments profile:
- Update a card’s expiration date and address
- Verify a card
- Remove a card
- Fix a payment method
Close a payments profile
When a payments profile is closed:
- Your child still has access to their Google Account, but payment methods and related information (like a card billing address) are no longer available to use with Google.
- You can create a new payments profile for your child by adding a new payment method (like a credit card) to their Google Account.

What happens when parental supervision stopsYour child will be able to:
- Add payment cards to Google Wallet or Google Pay on their own and continue to use existing payment methods.
- Pay on apps and websites with the Google Pay button.
- Autofill payment info in Chrome to checkout faster online.
- Pay across Google on Google Play Store, YouTube, and more.
Tip: For added security, any payment method added before your child turns 13 (or the applicable age in your country) that they continue to use after they update their account, will require a one-time CVV code confirmation before it can be used for transactions online, in-app, or across Google.
